Dubai government owned company Dubai World has given a presentation to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on setting up a new coastal city, says an official statement. The new coastal city will augur well for the development and investment climate in Pakistan, Aziz said. The Prime Minister said that the new city will be built on land reclaimed from the sea and would provide housing to people belonging to every income group. He said that the project which involves investment worth billions of dollars would help create thousands of new jobs while accelerating economic activity in Pakistan. Aziz said Pakistan welcomes this environment friendly project which would provide better housing facilities to the people and improve their standard of living. He said that UAE companies are working all over the world in the field of real estate and their coming to Pakistan is a welcome step. The Prime Minister said the expertise of these companies regarding land reclamation would immensely benefit Pakistan. Aziz said the details of the project would be finalized by the investors in consultation with the Federal Government and the Government of Sindh.
