Pakistan's Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will meet chief executives of major Chinese companies in Beijing on Wednesday to review the overall Sino-Pak cooperation in the economic sector, officials said. The prime minister pays a three-day official visit to China starting on December 14. Most of these companies are engaged in carrying out important development projects in Pakistan like Gwadar seaport, Saindek and Thar coal. Currently, officials said, there are about 100 projects that are under way in Pakistan with the support of the Chinese companies. Officials said the meeting would help to review the progress on these projects, so as to complete them as early as possible. Aziz will brief the business executives about the investment opportunities in Pakistan, seeking their support for further strengthening their on-going partnership in various sectors. The prime minister will also address a business conference in Shanghai on Friday. More than 400 Chinese businessmen will attend it.
