THE CONFERENCE OF ARAB CHILD LANGUAGE IN GLOBALIZATION ERA STARTED HERE TODAY. THE THREE-DAY CONFERENCE WAS ORGANIZED BY ARAB COUNCIL OF CHILDHOOD AND DEVELOPMENT IN COOPERATION WITH THE ARAB LEAGUE. IN A SPEECH DELIVERED ON HIS BEHALF BY PRINCE TURKI BIN TALAL BIN ABDULAZIZ, PRINCE TALAL BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE COUNCIL'S CHAIRMAN STRESSED THAT LEARNING FOREIGN WORLD LANGUAGES BECOME A NECESSITY FOR PEOPLES, BUT IT SHOULD BE LIMITED TO AN EXTENT WHICH DOES NOT DISSOLVE IDENTITIES. HE NOTED THAT LEARNING FOREIGN LANGUAGES BY CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE AT THE EXPENSE OF THEIR OWN MOTHER TONGUE LANGUAGE, BUT THERE SHOULD BE A STUDIED BALANCE THAT ALLOWS A CHILD TO LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AS A LANGUAGE OF MODERN KNOWLEDGE.
