Pakistan s exports during first seven month of the current fiscal (July 2006-January 2007) were recorded at around $9.630 billion, showing an increase of 3.9 percent over the exports worth $9.272 billion realized in the same period of previous fiscal, says an official statement. The exports during the month of January, 2007 totalled around $1.197 billion as against $1.225 billion realized in the corresponding period of the last fiscal, showing a decrease of (-) 2.2 percent in the same period of the last year. The exports achieved 51.8 percent of the set target of $18.6 billion for the current fiscal while the import achieved 61.5 percent of the set target of the current fiscal. During the first seven months of the current fiscal, the imports also witnessed 9.1 percent growth to $17.225 from $15.795 billion in the same period of the last financial year.
