UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday condemned what he called a "callous terrorist attack" on two buses that killed three civilians in Lebanon, DPA reported. "This crime comes the day before the second anniversary of the attack that took the life of former Premier Rafik Hariri and 22 other people, which itself preceded a string of assassinations and terrorist actions in Lebanon," Ban said in a statement. "The UN strongly rejects attempts to secure political objectives through violence and the killing of innocent civilians," Ban said. The two passenger buses were bombed in Ain Aaleq, near Bikfaya, which injured also 18 people. The UN envoy for Lebanon, Geir Pederson, also condemned the attack "in the strongest terms."
