The General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVOT) and the Saudi Tele-Communications Company (STC) signed here on Sunday evening a two-year agreement to facilitate a joint working program to train and rehabilitate 1, 300 Saudi young males including the ones who come under the special needs category. The program will provide them with the knowledge and skills that qualifies them to benefit from the employment opportunities available in the local market through the placement training programs being implemented by GOTEVOT. This comes in the light of the overall renaissance experienced by Saudi Arabia in various fields, especially social and economic domains. There is a need for concerted efforts between the public and private sectors to support the development of the Saudi youth - both males and females. The agreement that had been signed is a Joint working Program under which the STC gives financial support to the GOTEVOT for processing labs particularly designed for the blind, the preparation and implementation of 2 years diploma course for the rehabilitation of 300 young Saudis of special needs namely blinds and deaf in addition to the 6 months theoretical and practical training program for 1000 young Saudis to rehabilitate them in technical and administrative fields. These programs will be conducted in GOTEVOT facilities in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, Al Qassim Abha, Jazan and Ha'il.
