PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL HIGHLIGHTS SAUDI-AMERICAN RELATIONS

PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL, THE SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO THE US, HAS REITERATED THE DEPTH OF THE SAUDI-AMERICAN RELATIONS, AND UNDERLINED THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTINUATION OF DIALOGUE AND UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE TWO PARTIES.
SPEAKING AT THE RECEPTION PARTY HELD BY THE US CONGRESS IN HIS HONOR YESTERDAY, PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL EMPHASIZED THE COMMITMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA TO EXTENDING ASSISTANCE TO THE IRAQI PEOPLE WITH ALL OF ITS CATEGORIES.
HE POINTED OUT THAT THE KINGDOM IS KEEN ON THE EXISTENCE OF A FREE, INDEPENDENT AND STABLE IRAQ WHICH REPRESENTS ALL IRAQIS.
'REALIZATION OF THIS GOAL MAINLY DEPENDS ON THE IRAQIS THEMSELVES', HE SAID.
ON THE PEACE PROCESS IN THE MIDDLE EAST, PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL SAID THE KINGDOM BELIEVES THAT THE SETTLEMENT OF THE ARAB-ISRAELI DISPUTE IS THE KEY FOR SOLVING ALL PENDING PROBLEMS IN THE REGION.
HE CONFIRMED THE SUPPORT OF THE KINGDOM TO THE US EFFORTS WHICH LEAD TO THE REALIZATION OF THAT GOAL.
PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL EXPRESSED APPRECIATION FOR THE EFFORTS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE US CONGRESS TO FURTHER ENHANCE COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN SAUDI ARABIA AND THE US, AND SAID THESE EFFORTS WERE POSITIVE AND ENCOURAGING.
MEANWHILE, A NUMBER OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CONGRESS WHO ATTENDED THE RECEPTION PARTY HIGHLIGHTED THE EFFORTS EXERTED BY PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL TO FURTHER CEMENT SAUDI-AMERICAN RELATIONS, AND SAID THESE EFFORTS HAVE YIELDED POSITIVE RESULTS AND PAVED THE WAY FOR MORE COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE TWO FRIENDLY COUNTRIES.
