Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh Province, has said Saudi Arabia welcomes cooperation with Germany in all areas. “We want to further enhance cooperation. There have been common interests between the two countries in medical, engineering and architectural fields,” Prince Salman said in an address at a reception party hosted in his honor by Berlin Governor and Mayor Klaus Wowereit. He also affirmed that the visit of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to Germany had been very important for relations between the two countries, and so had been last week's visit of German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel to the Kingdom. “I have invited the Berlin Governor and Mayor to visit Riyadh to see the progress being witnessed in all areas,” Prince Salman said. He added that the Kingdom welcomes cooperation with everyone. “It has a free and open system.” Berlin Governor and Mayor Wowereit said that the Kingdom has become an important economic partner for Berlin, noting that the two sides have the capabilities to enhance economic cooperation in the future. Prince Salman was accompanied by the official delegation comprising Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz; Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Special Adviser to Prince Salman; Prince Turki Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz; Prince Khaled Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz; Prince Naif Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz; Prince Bandar Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz; Prince Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Ayyaf Al-Muqrin, Mayor of Riyadh; Saudi Ambassador to Germany Dr. Osama Shobokshi; and a number of officials.
