HIGHLIGHTING THE DEEP-ROOTED SAUDI-AMERICAN RELATIONS, PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL, THE SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO THE UNITED STATES, POINTED OUT TO THE CLOSE COOPERATION BETWEEN SAUDI ARABIA AND THE US DURING THE ERA OF THE COLD WAR AND THE KUWAIT'S LIBERATION WAR. HE EXPRESSED CONFIDENCE ON THE CAPABILITY OF THE KINGDOM AND THE US ON PLAYING A CRUCIAL ROLE TOWARDS THE ONGOING EFFORTS FOR BRINGING ABOUT PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. 'THE PROBLEMS OF THE REGION ARE IN NEED OF A LOT OF PATIENCE AND BETTER UNDERSTANDING TO THEIR CAUSES AND DIMENSIONS,' HE SAID.
