The Public service camps of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association contributed positively to support the emergency operation center at the Civil Defense Forces headquarters in Mina to prevent pilgrims to sleep or stay on entrances and exits of tunnels especially Al-Maisam tunnel. The survey and guidance official, Scout leader Shaker Mohammed Amin Radin said that the camps contribute to resolving over-crowding that occurs at the cross road between the Arab market street and Aljwharah street in order to guide pilgrims where to turn and proceed ahead, especially guiding the lost pilgrims to their proper destinations. Radin explained that scout camps contributed two scout teams comprising 28 boy scouts in coordination with the Civil Defense Forces. Additionally, the strength of these scouts were strengthened further with the provision of 56 boy scouts previously deployed to the holy sites. The civil defense officials expressed deep appreciation to scouts and scout camps for their quick response.
