A suspected homemade bomb exploded Thursday in a shopping mall in a southern Philippine city, wounding three people and setting off a security alarm, AP quoted police as saying. The explosion happened in a counter where shoppers deposit their bags and packages at the Kim San Plaza in Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat province, which have been hit in the past by bomb attacks, police Chief Superintendent German Doria said. The wounded, apparently shoppers, were taken to a hospital for treatment, he said. Police ordnance experts were investigating to determine the cause of the explosion and what type of explosives were used if it was a bomb, he said.
