Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said Wednesday he would return to Gaza on Thursday, cutting short his trip abroad as violence raged at home, AP reported. Addressing a press conference hours after gunmen assassinated a Hamas-linked judge, Haniyeh told reporters in the Sudanese capital there was no danger of the Palestinian territories erupting in civil war. «We want to assure you that words such as 'civil war' don't exist in our dictionary. They don't exist in our makeup, in our culture,» Haniyeh said. He also said that President Omar al-Bashir had pledged US$10 million to the Palestinian people and government _ which has been unable to pay its civil servants because of a Western financial boycott.
