Turkish soldier killed in land mine explosion

A land mine explosion on a road in southeastern Turkey killed a Turkish soldier and injured 11 others, a local official said Saturday.
The mine _ believed to have been planted by
autonomy-seeking Kurdish rebels _ exploded late Friday, on a road near the mainly Kurdish town of Lice, the official from governor's office said, according to a report of the Associated Press.
