Pakistan has detained 18 Indian fishermen and confiscated their three boats for illegal fishing in Pakistan's territorial waters in the Arabian Sea, the Maritime Security Agency (MSA) said Saturday. In a statement, the MSA said that its ship, Nusrat, arrested the Indian fishermen from Pakistan's water limits during routine patrolling. It said that the fishermen were engaged in illegal fishing 20 nautical miles deep within Pakistan's water borders. The statement said that the arrested Indian fishermen have been handed over to Karachi police for action under the law.
