Pakistan successfully test-fired a short range nuclear capable ballistic missile on Saturday, Pakistan army said. Hataf-III Ghaznavi missile had a range of 290 kilometers and hit its target, a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations said. Pakistan's Strategic Command conducted the test-fire. Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mehmood was present at the launch pad of the missile. President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz congratulated the scientists and engineers for the successful test.
