The official security source of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mansour bin Sultan Al-Turki spoke about the incorrectness of what was reported by some media (organs) about the arrest of persons in connection with the firing incident in the vicinity of Al-Ruwais prison in Jeddah, resulting into the martyrdom of two security men on Thursday, 16 / 11 / 1427 AH (corresponding to 07/12/2006). Maj. Gen. Mansour Turki, in a statement to the Saudi News Agency, refuted the arrest of any person linked to the incident up to this moment and said that there were no shootings near Turkish nor American consulates. "This incident is being followed up by the security authorities, who have launched an investigation necessary to identify the perpetrators of the incident and arrest them in accordance with the procedures of professional practice in this context. The spokesman called for accuracy and referral to official security sources to verify authenticity and accuracy of such security issues.
