Finland, the current president of the European Union, said Thursday Turkey's offer to keep its EU entry talks on track was «not yet» sufficient to end the stalemate over its refusal to open its ports to EU member Cyprus, AP reported. Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja told reporters that Turkey's offer to open one sea port to Cyprus was a «positive indication that they are moving toward implementation,» but he added, «this is not yet it.» He said EU foreign ministers would discuss Turkey's offer at talks in Brussels on Monday and that it could give the talks «a slightly more positive atmosphere.»
