SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND HASAN TALAAT NAZER HAS LAUDED THE OUTCOME OF THE MEETINGS OF THE 8TH SAUDI AUSTRALIAN JOINT COMMITTEE ROUND HELD IN RIYADH YESTERDAY. IN REMARKS TO MARK THE END OF THE EVENT, NAZER EXPRESSED OPTIMISM THAT THE TALKS WOULD CONTRIBUTE TO FURTHER ENHANCING ECONOMIC COOPERATION AND COMMERCIAL TRADE BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES. THE AMBASSADOR DREW THE ATTENTION TO THE SIZABLE INCREASE IN THE TRADE EXCHANGE BETWEEN THE KINGDOM AND AUSTRALIA AMOUNTING TO $2077 MILLION IN 2005. JOINT VENTURES BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES REACHED 21 IN THE SAME YEAR, THE AMBASSADOR ADDED.
