An Israeli military aircraft attacked a car in which two Hamas militants were travelling in Gaza City on Sunday, wounding at least five Palestinians, witnesses and medical workers said, according to Reuters. An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed the air force carried out the strike but had no comment on its targets. Witnesses said the attack took place near a mosque at Gaza City's Zeitoun neighbourhood as worshippers were leaving prayers. They did not immediately identify the passengers of the vehicle that was hit. Hamas said two of its fighters were in the car but escaped unharmed. Medical workers said the men were wounded, along with three passersby -- two children and an elderly man.
