RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN WILL ARRIVE IN JORDAN NEXT FEBRUARY ON A WORKING VISIT, SAID RUSSIAN SPECIAL ENVOY FOR THE MIDDLE EAST AFFAIRS ALEXANDER SULTANOV IN A PRESS STATEMENT TODAY. HE NOTED THAT THE VISIT OF THE RUSSIAN PRESIDENT AIMS AT CONTRIBUTION TO THE PEACE EFFORTS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. SULTANOV, WHO HELD HERE YESTERDAY OFFICIAL TALKS WITH A NUMBER OF JORDANIAN OFFICIALS ON THE CURRENT DEVELOPMENTS IN THE REGION, ADDED THAT RUSSIA BELIEVES IN THE IMPORTANCE OF CONVENING AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR THE SETTLEMENT OF THE ARAB-ISRAELI CONFLICT.
