Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived here today on a two-day working visit to Jordan in response to an official invitation. During the visit of the Russian President, a Jordanian official said that the Jordanian and Russian sides will hold talks on mechanisms of developing bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially economy and investment. The talks will also cover the current situation in the Middle East, and the latest developments in the efforts to overcome the obstacles that prevent the launching of serious and effective Palestinian-Israeli negotiations for the achievement of a solution for the Palestinian conflict. The Russian President's visit is the first to Jordan within a tour of a number of countries in the region.
