Four miners were missing after a cave-in at a coal mine near central Slovak town of Novaky on Thursday, a local news agency SITA reported. Water and mud flooded corridors in a mine some 200 metres below ground where nine miners were working, the agency said. Five miners escaped unhurt, while four were trapped, according to Reuters.. Rescue teams were searching for the missing men, SITA reported officials from the company operating the mine as saying. The mine is a part of Hornonitrianske Bane Prievidza, Slovakia's key brown coal producer, which employs around 4,800 people.
