Pakistan successfully test-fired nuclear-capable ballistic missile, Hataf V Ghouri, Thursday morning, an official statement said. The intermediate range missile had a range of 1300 kilometers, the statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. As usual, Pakistan's neighbours were informed about the test-fire before it was conducted. President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz congratulated the Pakistani nation and scientists and engineers for the successful test-fire. According to the statement, the prime minister, who watched the test-fire, said Pakistan could be justifiably proud of its defence capability and the reliability of its nuclear deterrence. He said Pakistan believes in peace that comes from a position of strength and operational readiness.
