Pakistan s Higher Education Commission (HEC) has finalised arrangements for setting up six engineering universities in as many cities, according to an official statement. The universities are being established in close collaboration with prominent universities of Austria, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Korea and Italy at Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Islamabad, Sialkot and Peshawar. The first of these universities will soon be inaugurated in Lahore.
