Pakistan and Malaysia have agreed to sign the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which will be executed in the start of the next year following the three-day visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to Pakistan from November 4, officials said. The two countries have held Joint Ministerial Committee meetings and singed Early Harvest Programme paving the way to finalise the FTA between the two countries. Following the official visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister to Pakistan, there will be another meeting of Joint Ministerial Committee in Islamabad in December this year and the FTA will be executed early next year. Badawi will arrive Islamabad on November 4 on his second official and bilateral visit to Pakistan as earlier he visited in February 2005.
