Toshiba Corp's net profit grew in the April-September period of the financial year ending in March 2007, thanks to robust sales of semiconductors and electronic devices, DPA QUOTED the company's sources as saying Tuesday. Japan's second-largest electronics' conglomerate posted its net profit at 38.83 billion yen (330.70 million dollars) for the year's first half, up 24.2 billion yen from the same period a year earlier. Group operating profit jumped 26.8 per cent to 65.15 billion yen, and sales were up 9 per cent to 3.16 trillion yen. For the full year, Toshiba revised upward its projection of net profit of 110 billion yen and sales of 6.75 trillion yen.
