Pakistan has sent another consignment of 10 metric tons of essential medicines for Lebanon as part of its commitment to extend additional humanitarian assistance to its people who suffered from Israeli aggression, says an official statement. The additional goods have been dispatched on the directives of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. Pakistan had earlier dispatched six planeloads of humanitarian supplies to Lebanon including food items, medicines, tents and blankets. The Embassy of Pakistan in Beirut will hand over the medicines to the Lebanese authorities. Pakistan was also sending a de-mining contingent to Lebanon for clearing explosive devices, which continue to pose a serious threat to the Lebanese people.
