One-minute silence was observed at 8.52 a.m. Sunday across Pakistan to commemorate last October's massive earthquake havoc. President General Pervez Musharraf stood in grief in the memorial service in Azad Kashmir capital of Muzaffarabad, which was flattened by the tremors. Sirens were sounded at 8.51 a.m. before the observance of silence. The earthquake measuring 7.6 on Richter scale, killed over 73,000 people, injured some 100,000 and left 3.3 million homeless in Azad Kashmir and North West Frontier Province. The disaster brought the whole infrastructure to ground and shattered the mountains in Azad Kashmir.
