THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ HAS SENT A CABLE OF CONDOLENCES TO BRAZIL'S PRESIDENT LUIZ INACIO LULA DA SILVA ON THE VICTIMS OF THE CRASH OF A BRAZILIAN PASSENGER PLANE.
THE MONARCH SAID, ''WE RECEIVED WITH GRIEF THE NEWS OF THE PLANE CRASH WHICH RESULTED IN THE DEATH OF PASSENGERS. IN MY OWN NAME AND ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLES OF SAUDI ARABIA, WE OFFER OUR CONDOLENCES TO YOU AND FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS. ''
A SIMILAR CABLE OF CONDOLENCES WAS ALSO SENT TO THE BRAZILIAN PRESIDENT BY CROWN PRINCE SULTAN BIN ABDULAZIZ, DEPUTY PREMIER, MINISTER OF DEFENSE AND AVIATION AND INSPECTOR GENERAL.
