A bus careened off a bridge and plunged 30 meters (98 feet) into a river Sunday killing 30 people in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing, a government news agency said. Another 20 passengers were injured in the accident and are being treated in a local hospital, the official Xinhua News Agency said. The bus had driven through a guardrail of the bridge that spans Chongqing's Jialing river on Sunday afternoon, it said.
