Turki. Nazarbayev welcomed Al-Turki and exchanged talks with him about Muslims' and Islamic issues in addition to the role played by MWL to serve Muslims and Islam all over the world. Al-Turki highlighted the relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia describing them as "strong and deep-rooted." He also asked Al-Turki to convey his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz. On his part, Al-Turki conveyed the greetings of King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan to Nazarbayev, affirming the keenness of MWL to cooperate with Kazakhstan for the good of Islam and Muslims and to open an MWL office there. In a statement after the meeting, Al-Turki said that part of MWL role is to call for stability and security away from violence and away from anything that may harm any community, affirming that Islam recognizes various cultures and it is a religious message; and that is why peoples of various faiths have converted to Islam. He added that all divine messages call for more cooperation and stability, pointing out to the keenness of MWL to help all people to know the reality of Islam. Al-Turki arrived in Astana yesterday to participate in the two-day second conference of the Leaders of the World Traditional Religions organized by Kazakhstan under the title “Religion, Society and International Security” which will be held here tomorrow.
