Mustaqbal "Future" Bloc Jamal Al-Jarrah and Ahmad Fotouh highlighted in a statement Saudi Arabia's support for the Lebanese students and schools. They said that this kind of support comes within a series of assistances given by Saudi government and it is an honest expression of the Saudi goodwill to stabilize Lebanon and to help it survive the latest developments. Moreover, the Grand Mufti of Zahlah and Al-Biqa' Sheikh Khalil Al-Mais thanked King Abdullah for his generous initiative that has come after the important support granted to the Lebanese economy, pointing out to the Saudi role in sustaining many Lebanese religious and educational institutions and helping them play their roles within the Lebanese community. On hist part, President of the Popular Assembly in Akkar in the North of Lebanon Wajeeh Al-Ba'raini thanked Saudi Arabia for paying the schools' fees on behalf of all Lebanese students. Also, the Beirut-based New Road Region Families Assembly, President of the Beirut-based Social League of Mahallat Ras Al-Nabe' Abdulwadood Al-Nasouli and President of Al-Dhahia Educational Assembly Mohammad Al-Abdullah also expressed their deep gratitude for the Saudi initiative, pointing out that such a thing is not unusual of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
