Health Minister Attends WHO Meeting

Mni' will leave tomorrow for Iran to lead the Saudi delegation to the three-day 53rd World Health Organization Meeting of the Middle East Region which will be held in the period from 9th to 12th of September 2006, according to the official spokesman of the Health Ministry and Supervisor of Health Awareness Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Marghalani.
Marghalani said that the agenda of the meeting will focus on many issues including AIDS, infantile paralysis, tuberculosis, measles, leprosy, tobacco-free initiative report …etc.
It is worth mentioning that such meetings are attended by representatives of UN, Developmental UN Program, Arab League, African Unity Organization, a number of governmental and non-governmental international organizations related to World Health Organization (WHO) in addition to observers from some local health bodies.
