Gen Hussain bin Abdullah Al-Ghobailyal, heading a high-level five-member delegation, arrived in Islamabad on a week-long visit to Pakistan on Monday, says an official statement. Lt-Gen Arif Hayat, director general at the General Headquarters, and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Awadh Asseri received the Saudi delegation at the Chaklala Airbase. The visit is part of the intense exchange of high-level delegations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to strengthen relations in different spheres. The Saudi delegation will hold talks with its Pakistani counterparts to increase defense cooperation. They will meet President General Pervez Musharraf, who is also chief of the army staff, Vice Chief of the Army Staff Ahsan Hayat, and Joint Chiefs of Services Committee Chairman General Ehsanul Haq. As part of its hectic schedule, the Saudi delegation will also visit Heavy Industries Taxila, Pakistan Ordnance Factory Wah and some army units in Kharian.
