A bomb exploded late Monday at an underwear factory in the Athens suburbs of Ilion, a radio report carried by dpa said. The bomb was placed in a garbage can at the entrance to the factory, according to Greek state radio. There were no injuries, the report said. The explosion was heard widely through the city. Police and rescue workers roped off the area. It was not clear who carried out the bombing. The factory was slated to be closed in the coming days, Greek television reported. Workers had demonstrated against the closure.
