Eight propane-gas bombs exploded nearly simultaneously during the night at offices of the ruling political party and bank cash points in the Greek capital, Athens radio reported Friday. There were no injuries but substantial damage was caused by the explosions, all of which occurred outside of the buildings targeted. Two offices of the New Democracy party were targeted in the Lambrini district, along with a downtown bank and five cash points situated in south Athens. Police authorities had not received a claim of responsibility by Friday morning.
