A fire alarm led to the Eurotunnel being closed for several hours Monday when smoke was seen coming from a train, but it turned out to be a false alarm, a spokesman for the tunnel said according to dpa. "It was a freight shuttle going through with about 34 people on board, who have all been evacuated safely. At the moment we're just looking for the causes of the smoke so that we can understand that before we get the service up and running again," said Eurotunnel spokesman John Keefe. Passenger services from London to Paris and Brussels were suspended, but Keefe said they should be restored later Monday.
