Four miners were killed Sunday in a methane gas explosion inside a mine in northwest Turkey, the private Dogan news agency reported. Ten others miners were trapped inside the shaft they were working in, the report said. Mine rescue teams and ambulances were sent to the mine near the town of Mengen, in Bolu province some 200 kilometers (125 miles) northwest of Ankara, the capital, the report was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
