Rescue workers started to evacuate dozens of workers trapped inside a copper mine engulfed in fire on Wednesday, an official said. Eight miners were rescued so far. Between 25 and 30 miners were trapped inside the mine in the town of Kure in Kastamonu province, some 300 kilometers (185 miles) north of the capital, Ankara. "We started evacuating them one by one, eight of them have been rescued so far," said Gov. Alper Tanrisever.
