SECRETARY GENERAL OF GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL ABDULRAHMAN ALA'ATEYAH COMMENDED ARAB EFFORTS EXERTED TO AMEND US-FRENCH RESOLUTION ON THE SITUATION IN LEBANON.
ALA'ATEYAH WELCOMED UN SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NUMBER 1701 ON LEBANON ALTHOUGH HE DESCRIBED IT AS IMBALANCED AGAINST LEBANON.
HE REITERATED CONDEMNATION OF CONTINUATION OF ISRAEL'S AGGRESSION AGAINST LEBANON DESPITE THE RESOLUTION.
