Ala'ateyah welcomes Abbas' election

Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council Abdulrahman Ala'ateyah welcomed the election of Mahmood Abbas as president of the Palestinian Authority.
In a statement here today, he described Abbas as the man who won the trust of the Palestinian people as a successor to the late president Yasir Arafat.
