ARMED ATTACKERS SHUT DOWN AN OIL FLOW STATION IN NIGERIA'S SOUTHERN DELTA IN AN OVERNIGHT RAID, POLICE SAID WEDNESDAY. THE FACILITY IS OPERATED BY ITALIAN OIL GIANT ENI SPA'S AGIP SUBSIDIARY, SAID HAFIZ RINGIM, POLICE COMMISSIONER FOR BAYELSA STATE, WHERE THE ATTACK OCCURRED. RINGIM SAID THE ATTACKERS INVADED THE OGBOEBIRI FLOW STATION TUESDAY NIGHT AND ASKED THE GUARDS TO LEAVE, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS REPORTED.
