The Board of Directors of the General Organization of Railways (GOR) held here today its third meeting for the fiscal year 1426-1427 A.H. under the chairmanship of Minister of Transport Jubara Al-Suraisri. The Board discussed a number of issues on its agenda including the Final Audit Report of the year 1425-1426 A.H. and the proposed budget for the year 1427-1428 A.H. After the meeting, GOR's Director General Khaled bin Hamad Al-Yahya said that the Board approved the Final Audit Report of the year 1425-1426 A.H. which showed a hike in its income amounting to SR 295 million compared with SR 246 million in the previous year, registering an increase of 20 percent. In a statement to SPA, Al-Yahya said the board also approved the proposed budget for the year 1427-1428 A.H. which includes new projects to enhance the operational safety level and to raise the trains' speed through building a number of bridges.
