Israeli missiles targeted two buildings in Gaza overnight, hours after Israel said it would step up its military operations until a young captured soldier is released. Early Monday the Israeli military said it killed three Palestinians attempting a suicide attack on soldiers near the airport in Dahaniya, southern Gaza. Explosive belts were later found on the bodies of two of the Palestinians, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman told CNN. At daybreak, Israel said a small force entered northern Gaza looking for tunnels and explosives. A military source told CNN the mission, close to a border fence, was routine. Earlier, CNN correspondent John Vause watched as a single missile flew over the roof on which he and his crew were standing in Gaza City; it slammed into a building a few blocks to the north, causing a powerful explosion. The Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades -- a military offshoot of Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement -- had offices in that building, the IDF and and Palestinian sources said. A missile attack was also ordered on "a weapons production and storage warehouse in Beit Hanoun," the IDF added.
