Two Palestinian militants were killed by a shell from an Israeli army tank during an exchange of fire east of Gaza City Wednesday, Palestinian Health Ministry officials said, according to Reuters.
Palestinian sources said the militants, both members of the Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade, were en route to carry out an attack when they entered into an exchange of fire with the Israeli soldiers.
Israeli military officials confirmed an attack on the militants whom they claim were attempting to smuggle into Israel. --SP 23 56 Local Time
