THE CEO OF RUSSIA'S GAZPROM GAS MONOPOLY, ALEXEI MILLER, ON FRIDAY MAPPED OUT AMBITIOUS PLANS FOR FUTURE EXPORTS OF NATURAL GAS TO CHINA, ACCORDING TO DPA. "FROM 2011 WE WILL PUMP 68 BILLION CUBIC METRES TO CHINA EACH YEAR," MILLER TOLD AN ANNUAL SHAREHOLDERS' MEETING IN MOSCOW. WHILE ASSURING THAT WESTERN MARKETS WOULD HAVE PRIORITY, MILLER SAID THE STATE-CONTROLLED COMPANY WOULD IN THE NEXT 15 YEARS INCREASINGLY CATER TO DEMAND FROM CHINA, INDIA AND SOUTH KOREA. GERMANY IS CURRENTLY THE LARGEST CONSUMER OF RUSSIAN GAS, IMPORTING 40 BILLION CUBIC METRES A YEAR.
