Holland's Menzing Industriele Toelevering B.V and Pakistan's Research & Development Engineering Company have signed an agreement for cooperation and joint projects in Pakistan, says an official statement. The Dutch company would also offer technology to its Pakistani counterpart and train personnel for achieving higher manufacturing standards. Harold Vreeman and Erik Jansen of Menzing Industries of the Netherlands and Omar Zaman and Rumi Moiz of Research & Development Engineering Company Pakistan, Imtiaz Rastgar, Chief Executive Officer, Engineering Development Board (EDB) and Martin Leushuis, Chairman of VMO signed the agreement. Rastgar said on the occasion that the agreement has been signed in a record time of three months which is seldom witness in a complex business sector like engineering. He paid growing tributes to Martin Lueshuis for the excellent work done in promoting bilateral ties between Pakistan and Netherlands in his capacity as President of Pakistan-Netherlands Business Council (PNBC) as well as VMO. Rastgar said that there are many talented businessmen in Pakistan who given the chance and training could be made available to European counterpart companies for making them more competitive. Leushuis said that the agreement as beneficial for the future of Netherlands and Pakistan. He said 85 percent companies in Netherlands were SMEs and they were keen to have business partners in Pakistan. Leushuis promised that more and more Dutch companies will have joint ventures with Pakistani Companies in future as there were many similarities between the trade and business communities of both the countries including common language English.
