Pakistan Navy ships NASR and BADR are leaving for a goodwill cruise to Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and Dela Reunion, according to an official statement. During the visit, Mission Commodore Zafar Mehmood Abbasi and commanding officers of the ships will hold meetings with various naval authorities of the countries to be visited and discuss matters of common interest. The ships will also conduct maritime exercises with South African navy during their visit to South African Port of Simons Town. The exercise will be witnessed by Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Asaf Humayun off the South African coast. The statement said the visit would enhance friendly, diplomatic and military ties with Saudi Arabia and the African countries and help promote mutual understanding between the navies of Pakistan and the countries to be visited.
