The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet's weekly session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh on Monday. At the outset of the session, the Monarch briefed the Cabinet on the contents of contacts held over the previous days with a number of leaders and officials of countries which dealt with regional and international issues. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani said that the Cabinet hoped that the step taken by Iraq's House of Representatives in endorsing the formation of a new government would support and strengthen Iraq's national unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and would assist Iraq in overcoming its ordeal and the conditions of instability. On the other hand, the Cabinet appreciated the positive outcomes of Saudi-American Committee for Strategic Dialogue recently concluded in Washington which embodied the development of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. --More
