Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Dar-us- salam received here today Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs Dr Nizar Madani and the accompanying delegation. They reviewed issues pertaining to the bilateral relations between the two countries. Earlier today, the general agreement for economic, commercial, investment, technical, cultural, youth and sports cooperation was signed by the Kingdom and Brunei. The agreement was signed by Dr Nizar Madani and Lim Sing, Brunei's second minister for foreign affairs and trade. Speaking on the occasion, Saudi ambassador to Brunei Essam bin Ahmad al-Thakafi said the signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the existing fraternal relations between the Kingdom and Brunei, and the keenness of the officials of the two countries on further enhancing bilateral relations.
